Inspired by mid-century modern chair designs, we think sohoConcepts’ Crescent Star Chair is brilliant. It seems others may think so, too. We are excited to have 212 and this captivating chair featured on Apartment Therapy side by side with the iconic Saarinen Executive Armchair—such heady company.

The Apartment Therapy post entitled “High and Low: The New Classics, Budget Editionis a follow-up to an earlier post about “The New Classics” as alternatives to pieces from design icons like Hans Wegner, Warren Platner and Mies van der Rohe.

Of the pieces chosen for the budget edition of the new classics, the editors at Apartment Therapy say the new designs are reminiscent of the classics but with much smaller price tags. “These aren’t knockoffs: they’re new designs that owe a little something to the original, but each bring[s] their own unique flair to the table.”

The Crescent Star Chair with its curved back and slender legs merges beauty of design with a practical side in removable upholstery. This stylish dining chair design comes in leatherette or wool and frame options of black powder coat or natural finish.

Perfectly suited to the dining room around a sleek contemporary or charming vintage table, these chairs would also be beautiful as side chairs in just about any modern room.
