Traditionally the intent to fuse architecture and nature has been always present in Japanese culture. However, one hardly can associate a Buddhist temple with such contemporary design boldly bringing bamboo up into the sky. Indeed, who could ever imagine that a spaces for congregation and prayer belonging to a centuries-old practice would be literally raised from the earthy bustling life of the world’s biggest metropolis and veiled from it by a bamboo forest? Indeed, looking back to the lush greenery...
