A while back Chris Lehrecke opened a shop on the two-mile stretch of Warren Street, in Hudson, New York, one of the best design and antiques shopping streets anywhere. It's especially worth a detour now that Lehrecke has expanded the shop, with more furniture on display as well as jewelry by Gabrielle Kiss (his wife) and tabletop and hardware items by Ted Muehling. According to Lehrecke, who lives nearby in the Dutchess County town of Bangall, Photos courtesy of Chris Lehrecke . Above: Above: Lehrecke's wood pendant lamps illuminate the store. Above: Lehrecke's work reflects African, Japanese, and Shaker influences; his modern yet primitive sculptures are made of turned polished wood.
