Ahh...designers and our obsession with typography. I scored this extended san seriff B from IndySWAG for $60.

Here's a super easy process to bring new light to an old metal marquee sign letter – seriously the hardest part will be scrubbing the decades of dirt off.

Step 1: Put in a little elbow grease and get the sucker clean! Commercial degreaser + hose rinse + repeat.

Step 2: Got all my supplies at a hardware store for under $25. LED strip lighting + outdoor mounting tape + sheet metal screws.

Step 3: A hole is required to get power to the LED strip lighting. More than likely the letter will already have holes in it from the factory, but I decided to drill one in the bottom of the letter.

Step 4: Take the LED strip lighting and wrap it around the inside of the letterform. Cut strips of outdoor mounting tape and adhere the LED strip lighting to the metal backing.

Step 5: Put the plexiglass front on and screws in place.

Step 6: Hang it in the most noticeable location in your house.
