If plans go as hoped we would like to use something like the Glidehouse for our next home. We built our current house in 1997-98 using the Blue Max system and it has been very successful in the Paso Robles area of Ca where hot and cold temps are the norm. Where we hope to be going, temperature is not an issue as it will be only about 10 miles from the ocean with total ocean influence in San Luis Obispo.

We really would like to stay in this house as it was the culmination of 40 years of frustrated architecture but I now breed alpacas and the heat here isn't conducive to good fleece or happy animals.

If we are successful with property in SLO we would probably use a main house, a "granny" unit for rental and a small house module for a sales shop and fiber workroom --i.e. two bedrooms, a bathroom and a living room to be used as an office a storage room and a fiber room to house looms, spinning and products for sale.
