Garage
Editorial Rating:
For the first time, the garage is no longer sticking out like an odd shoe. Since it, too, will get stucco, It's now the same color as the rest of the house, and does nicely to extend the profile of the house. The exterior walls have all been papered and wired, to prepare for the first coat of stucco. Meanwhile, I've been finding someone to tile the shower and ordering the plumbing and lighting fixtures.

Although lots has been happening in the house, little of the work has been photographable -- the interior walls have been built, electrical wire and plumbing pipes have all been installed in the walls, yesterday insulation was stuffed into all the exterior walls. Today, sheet rock went up on all the ceilings, and tomorrow, the workers say, they will be "finished." Then the first coat of stucco can go on.

Here is a view of the house with breezeway and garage, from the South.
