More steel

Since the last entry, the masons have put up the block for the south wall (near stairwell) and the majority of the west wall. C and his crew have been hard at work waterproofing the walls and putting the fill back in - they're done with the west wall and today had another delivery to fill in the south wall. Unfortunately, with it being the weekend, the pit closes at noon and we were only able to get two loads of dirt. And of course it rains - again! Why do I still get surprised?

I know I would not be able to go out there like that. Mainly because I am a wuss. There I admit it.

A friend of mine swung by to visit while we were there. It really was an enjoyable view and although we didn't have the typical HOT Texas summer, sitting in the shade, enjoying the breeze, and watching the pond made it all the more serene. Then it rained and it wasn't quite so serene. But that's... ok.

Next steps are to have more block delivered, finish filling the south wall and I believe prepping for the foundation for the second floor.
