UK makes modern homes official policy
In an amazing turn of events UK Planning official announces that contemporary design to become policy.
This article on the 4NI web site states "New country houses will reflect the highest standards of contemporary architecture following a change to planning policy, it has been announced today."
How would such a policy fair here in the USA? Our political structure does not make such decisions on a national level but it should be interesting to watch the repercussions of one that does.
The article goes on to say "The face of new country house architecture will change from a "pastiche of historic styles" to innovative cutting-edge design to encourage the best of British architecture, according to Planning Minister Keith Hill."
Discuss it in a dedicated topic in the LiveModern Forum.
