Although barely 6 months old, the LiveModern Community has already reached over 1000 members.

LiveModern launched on the 16th of September, 2003 as a result of the desire to create an online community that would facilitate the movement of modern designed housing into the mainstream. 500 people joined in the first 3 1/2 months, another 500 in the following 2 1/2 months showing an accelerating trend.

Taking stock of what has been accomplished in that time we have witnessed the organization of local groups of interested parties. These ad-hoc groups are utilizing the LiveModern Forums to organize themselves and assist other groups in the process of forming. We see a steady procession of news items which has created a central reference for what is going on modern. References and links to other modern centric web sites often appear here which serves to extend the reach of these other beneficial sites. We have a Calendar of Events which again is assisting local groups, and keeping people up on what is coming up. We have just seen the introduction of a Blog tool for the posting of personal Blogs here on LiveModern. This is a great opportunity for members to share their experiences and for suppliers and producers to let the community in on what they are developing.

All of this content is member driven. Member's pages and Forum Discussions are natural ways to contribute. Calendar Events, Blogs and News Items like the one you are reading are also vehicles for member contribution. The tools to create them are incredibly easy to use. The ball is rolling and we are all pushing! This is the means at hand to voice your demand in the marketplace and see that it becomes easier to get the modern home you want.
