Schematics
Editorial Rating:
After receiving Michelle's first set of six plans - we were duly impressed - she incorporated everything we asked for including: fireplaces in the living and family rooms and master bedroom; a pantry; a laundry room; a dressing/walk-in closet in the master bedroom; decks off nearly all of the bedrooms; a three car garage; etc. However, we wanted our modules to be the maximum size - 54' x 15.5' - the size of the Glidehouse 2 modules - so, we had an extra 6 feet to work with on each module.
So, we went down to our local copy center and had the plans printed out to scale on 11" x 17" paper, then measured and planned. We decided to literally cut and paste parts of Michelle's plans and put together one complete ideal schematic.
We took our cut and pasted version and scanned it at the copy center to submit it via email to Michelle for her review with a narrative of our changes - plus, started drafting up a list of our priorities so that when the time comes to marry our ideals with our budget, we'll know what options we can afford and which ones we can cut.
We meet with Michelle on Thursday to discuss. She'll finalize our plans by Friday and get them to CRG for pricing. We should get pricing back from CRG on the 21st and then be able to discuss our options and budget with them on the 22nd. Preliminary pricing will be submitted to our lender by the 23rd. That's the plan, at least!
More to follow.
