Hello and welcome to all.
I live in Seattle, Washington and am very interested in Sustainable materials & resources, prefab modern housing and optimized living environments.
I am not an architect, but I play on the web! Actually, I am a business consultant who works with entrepreneurial start-ups from the business plan all the way through funding, staffing, and other organizational activities.
I have had a deep appreciating for design and architecture and have been a devote for over 30 years. My career has spanned from Automotive Marketing to Contract office furniture (Steelcase and Herman Miller) to over 16 years in the technology industry (virtual reality, Internet).
My personal design heroes are Frank Lloyd Wright, Charles and Ray Eames, and Howard Roarke.
For the past two years I have been immersing myself in the emerging Modern Prefab Housing phenomenon as well as its bunk mate sustainable energy and materials.
I live in the Queen Anne neighborhood of Seattle (think Frasier) with my dog Reilly.
I use public transportation around downtown, and for trips of longer duration I use my Vespa GT 200. I also have on order a 2006 VW Beetle TDI with DSG. I plan on using a Biodiesel blend to run the Bug.
I encourage any local Seattle folks to contact me if you'd like to begin a local conversation on the above topics. We could meet for coffee....after all, we have an espresso stand every 18 feet in Seattle!
