PJ dies at the age of 98
Philip Johnson, the largest cheerleader of modern architecture in the early 20th century, died last night at the ripe old age of 98. He passed away in his masterwork Glass house in New Canaan, Connecticut
Johnson, one of the most influential architects of all genres of architecture, from strict international style modern, to derivitive Miesien minimalism, to over the top Po-Mo, to his most recent NURBS surfaced computer generated form-making, will surely be missed.
Johnson's PBS bio gives a good overview of the life of a modern master.
