mid century china dinnerware stoneware

Eichler - aholics! Period China for your home

Do you decorate your home in mid century modern? Own an Eichler? I have the perfect set of china for hosting dinner in your home. This pattern from Franciscan is not made any more. Production on "pomegranate" was started in 1954 and stopped in the late 1960's. If you are trying to recreate the "earthtones" feeling of the late 50's - 60's this is the perfect dinnerware pattern. Made of heavy stoneware it can be put in a microwave or cooked in an oven.

It has a unique shape to the plates - they are the ovid "Eclipse" shape designed by George James. (The shapes are the same as the "Starburst" design.)

The background is light beige with faint brown speckles. The Design is a band of pomegranate drawings in shades of brown and tan by industrial designer Mary Brown. This colorway gives a warm inviting tone to your dinning table and kitchen.

This is a complete set collected over many years, with many hard to get serving pieces. Here's the complete inventory:

1 Large covered casserole dish
2 small covered casserole dish
2 divided vegetable serving dishes
3 large chop plates
2 oval platters
1 large salad bowl
1 small milk pitcher
1 large water pitcher

2 tv snack trays
8 dinner plates
8 salad plates
8 bread and butter
8 coffee cups and saucers

PRICE: This is a once in a lifetime chance to buy a complete set without the hassle of EBAY fees or antique dealer prices. Buying these individually at a china replacement service would cost over $1000. I am willing to sell to a good home for $400.00. Send me an email ( if you are interested.
