Can you believe this is a 6-month process? (I love L.A.!)

Just a quick update so you know we're still trudging along. In November we applied for a zoning variance, with any luck we'll have our response in April. How's that for a bloated bereaucracy??

Meanwhile, we finished our comments to the comments on our soil report, designed and engineered the carport, revised our drainage system, etc.

We're also getting bids so we can get underway in April. We received our concrete bid, and it's borderline acceptable.

So, our completion date remains November 1st. Only that its 2006 not 2005.

Happy new year!

Can we see the Carport Design?

concrete in LA

If you are still looking for a concrete contractor who works in the LA area, I have someone terrific who has done work for me. He is not cheap but he is better than good (sez our LA building inspector, among others). Of course, he is always very busy, too.

Yes, please.

Although we do have a bid from someone who comes highly recommended, I would very much appreciate your sending me an email with the contact information for your "concrete guy".

Thanks.
