Glidehouse Featured in Oregonian
The Glidehouse as been featured in today's Oregonian, the paper of record for Portland. The article, "Some assembly required: Customized at the factory, designer modular homes snap together on-site", is available online.

Note that the Reids home is a very high end Glidehouse. Besides normal site-specific costs, their construction figure includes all of their appliances (and the septic), extensive excavation ("5 sticks of dynamite") on a challenging site, as well as lots of decking surrounding the home and a large outdoor pool. Their factory construction costs, with all of their upgrades (the main one being the Loewen windows, but most of the other upgrades that are available for the Glidehouse) were about $160/sf.
See a slide show of the Reid's home for photographs of all of the extra cost items.
