We're Building a New Modern Home!

We started this forum so that you could get your questions answers and share your experiences about building a new modern home. Of course, we also encourage you to document your process in a LiveModern blog, but understand that many people simply do not have enough hours left in the day to juggle jobs, kids, a new home and a blog all at once!

Please focus your questions and comments on the actual process of planning and building a new modern home (finding land, financing, designing/architecting, engineering and permitting, finding contractors, building, etc.). And it makes no difference how you build your new modern home (prefab, container, SIPs, modular, site-built, whatever). If you have questions and/or comments about remodelling or furnishing your home, please post them in one of the other Dwell forums.

Also note that we have archived the Dwell Home forum as it was not generating much traffic or chatter. The Dwell Home forum has been archived here, and all content is accessible when you search for any LiveModern content.
