A life-size replica of a Glidehouse will be on display at the National Building Museum starting May 2006 through June 2007. For anyone on the East Coast, this is your best chance to view a Glidehouse in 2006 and 2007. Created by an act of Congress in 1980, the National Building Museum is America’s premier cultural institution dedicated to exploring and celebrating architecture, design, engineering, construction, and urban planning. Michelle Kaufmann Designs is honored to have a Glidehouse included as the only home in this exhibit, and to show the sustainable design that has made the Glidehouse a standard in green building. The exhibit's catalog is also available through the National Building Museum's website.
